David Stone Joins Huntington Bank as Director of Commercial Business in Central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Commercial banking veteran David Stone has joined Huntington Bank as an executive vice president in charge of its commercial business in central Ohio. In his role he will be responsible for a team of more than 25 professionals dedicated to providing personal and commercial banking products including credit, loans, leasing, investing, deposit and foreign exchange services. Huntington's commercial bankers have been recognized by Greenwich Associates for their customer service and for their strong treasury management program. Greenwich is a leading research and consulting firm that regularly surveys customers on satisfaction with banking services.

Stone has more than 20 years of experience in lending and was most recently at PNC, formerly National City, where he was an executive vice president and head of corporate banking, based in Columbus. In that capacity he led a team of 20 relationship managers. He was responsible for the structuring of commercial loans including lines of credit, equipment finance, mortgage loans and acquisition financing.

Stone began his banking career at National City in 1988 in Cleveland as a member of the corporate banking development program. Over the years he held a variety of other executive positions at the bank including regional manager and credit department manager. In his credit role, he led a team of 16 credit professionals that served a $5 billion loan portfolio including real estate industries, large corporate and middle market banking.

President of the Ohio Business Week Foundation, Stone earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bowling Green State University. His bachelor's is in business administration, and his master's is in economics.
