Huntington Appoints Cindy Keitch to Lead New In-Store Branch Channel, Exclusive Partnership With Giant Eagle

Huntington to Expand its Distribution to Include In-Store Channel to Make Banking More Convenient for Customers

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Huntington (Nasdaq: HBAN; www.huntington.com) has appointed Senior Vice President Cindy Keitch to lead its new in-store distribution channel and exclusive, 15-year partnership with Giant Eagle.  With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Keitch has a broad background encompassing nearly all aspects of banking throughout Huntington's Midwest markets.

"Customers select banks based on convenience. By expanding into supermarkets, we can extend our branch system to meet the needs of consumers and small business owners," said Mary Navarro, Huntington senior executive vice president, retail and business banking director. "Cindy's extensive experience and proven track record of growing our business will give Huntington the leadership necessary to make in-store banking a success."

Prior to her newly appointed role, Keitch significantly grew Huntington's market share in its eastern region.  She also served as Huntington's Indiana regional president, retail group executive in central Ohio and corporate banking manager in Michigan.

The 15-year exclusive agreement with Giant Eagle will give Huntington nearly 500 branches in Ohio, the largest number of bank branches in the state, based on current data.  Huntington will install seven-day-a-week, full-service branches in at least 103 Giant Eagle supermarkets, giving shoppers the convenience of banking at night and on the weekends.  In the short-term, new Huntington branches will be added to 26 Ohio Giant Eagle stores, which currently do not have bank branches.

Keitch earned her bachelor's degree in finance from Franklin University in Columbus, OH, and is also a graduate of the Huntington Leadership Program at The Ohio State University.

"Giant Eagle shares Huntington's commitment to both its customers and its communities," said Keitch. "And like Huntington, Giant Eagle is dedicated to high levels of customer service and to giving customers convenience and quality products."
