Huntington's June 23 Webinar to Focus on Current State of the Economy

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Huntington (NASDAQ: HBAN; Director of Economics, George Mokrzan, Ph.D., will give an economic forecast update during a one hour webinar on Thursday, June 23, at 8:30 a.m. ET. The webinar will focus on current economic issues and include a discussion on employment in the Midwest, exporting, the state of manufacturing, as well as including a question and answer session.

Mokrzan is senior economist for Huntington's wealth management group, which manages more than $13 billion in financial assets including the Huntington Funds. In this position, he provides economic analysis and commentary to its management and clients. His views do not necessarily represent the official views and assumptions used in Huntington's forecasting and strategic planning exercises. Mokrzan serves on the Economic Advisory Council of the American Bankers' Association. Most recently, he has become a panelist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Livingston Survey and also serves on the CNN Money Economist Poll. Mokrzan earned a doctorate in macroeconomics, international economics and econometrics from Duke University in 1990. He earned a master's degree in economics from Duke University and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Rochester.
