Huntington Names Brant Standridge President
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (Nasdaq: HBAN) ("Huntington") today announced that Brant Standridge has been appointed President of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated and its subsidiary, The Huntington National Bank, effective immediately. The promotion reflects an extensive succession planning process conducted by the Board of Directors; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Steinour; and third-party experts over several years.
In this expanded role, Standridge will oversee all of Huntington's revenue-generating businesses and report to Steve Steinour, who plans to continue as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated for several more years. Steinour will remain focused on company strategy and execution.
"Brant is an exceptional leader with deep banking experience, strong operating discipline and a clear focus on delivering for customers and colleagues," Steinour said. "Since joining Huntington, he has played an important role in advancing our growth agenda and strengthening alignment across our businesses. He has been a strong champion of our culture and has helped reinforce the values and purpose of Huntington. In this expanded role, he will be responsible for the continued revenue growth and performance of the bank."
The appointment builds on Standridge's work establishing and leading Huntington's Growth Council, which brings together leaders from across Huntington's revenue-producing businesses to identify and capitalize on long-term growth opportunities. Standridge has also led all integration activity related to Veritex Community Bank and Cadence Bank, including the successful Cadence conversion, the largest in Huntington's history, helping springboard Huntington's growth across Texas and the South.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors and all of my Huntington colleagues, I want to congratulate Brant on his new role and thank him for his many contributions to our growth and success over the years," added Steinour.
Standridge has served as President of Consumer & Business Banking since joining Huntington in April 2022. In that role, he oversaw Huntington's consumer, private and business banking units, including branch banking, business banking, community development, consumer finance, insurance, regional banking and wealth management businesses, in addition to all corporate marketing activities.
Prior to joining Huntington, Standridge served as Chief Retail Community Banking Officer at Truist. He assumed that position in December 2019, upon the closing of the merger between BB&T Corporation and SunTrust Banks, Inc. His previous roles at Truist and its predecessors include more than five years as a member of the executive leadership team, with responsibility for a variety of businesses, including retail banking, indirect auto finance, equipment finance, mortgage and commercial mortgage banking. He also served eight years as regional president in Baltimore, Atlanta and Dallas.
