Footnotes

While not materially different from the amount previously reported, the 2024 Scope 1 - Direct Emissions have been restated to reflect updated information identified through the GHG verification process.

Scope 1 emissions increased in 2025, driven by higher jet fuel usage, modest increases in natural gas consumption, and fleet operations. These increases may also reflect business growth, capital investments, and operational activities associated with Huntington's acquisitions.

Scope 3 emissions increased in 2025, primarily driven by higher emissions from Huntington's auto loan portfolio. Additional increases in capital goods, purchased goods and services, and business travel reflect business growth, capital investments, and acquisition-related activities.

Scope 2 location-based emissions decreased in 2025, primarily due to an increase in renewable electricity procurement through Huntington's power purchase agreements (PPAs), supplemented by on-site solar generation.

The 2025 Building Energy Consumption calculation includes utility consumption for facilities where Huntington is the utility account holder. The 2024 value has been restated to 192,895 (from 160,139) to exclude locations outside Huntington's operational control to align with the methodology applied in 2025. The 2023 value has been restated to 186,560 (from 233,243) to be consistent with reporting in the 2023 Climate Report. This methodology was established with Huntington's 2022 baseline and will continue to be applied in future reporting periods.

2025 renewable energy values reflect renewable energy generated through Huntington's power purchase agreements (PPAs), including renewable energy certificates (RECs) and on-site solar generation. The 2024 renewable energy value has been restated to 13,284 (from 611), and the value for percent of energy use has been restated to 13.5% (from 0.5%) to include PPA-related renewable energy and associated RECs that were not available in the previous reporting cycle.

2025 data reflects an expanded leadership population compared with prior reporting periods.
